Why Choose Germany?

  • Low to No Tuition Costs- It's hard to believe, but Germany is one of the few study destinations that offers international students a low-cost or free of cost higher education if they opt to attend a public university.
  • Globally rated Universities- Many German universities have built a strong international reputation and ranking by demonstrating a long history of providing high-quality education combined with practical experience, allowing students to advance with purpose.
  • A Wide Range of Recognized Course Options- Though most known for its engineering programs, Germany provides a wide range of internationally recognized degree programs for international students to choose from.
  • European Journey- International students must have a residency permission to live and move across the country, which also allows them to travel throughout the Area.
  • Living expenditures- In Germany it can be relatively reasonable with some careful preparation. There are several lodging options available, as well as reasonable prices for other goods and services.
  • Job prospects- Under Law I, international students who have a work visa are permitted to work part-time hours per week for the duration of their study. You can expect excellent work opportunities on a global scale once you graduate with a German degree.

Germany's Educational System:

The German educational system has put in place the necessary safeguards to ensure that all pupils with potential, regardless of their financial circumstances, receive a high-quality education up to university level. Public schools, which excel in their academic framework and routinely generate high-performing pupils, are attended by the vast majority of German students.

The German legislation mandates compulsory basic and secondary education for all pupils aged 6 to 15. Students can choose from a variety of options for their high school education, including:

  • Gymnasium- In other words, German High School, which is normally started when a child is six years old and lasts for nine years. After completing the final exams, it traditionally gives an Abitur diploma.
  • Private Schools– They charge a tuition fee and provide a wide range of courses. Students receive a German Abitur as well as other certifications and awards upon completion.
  • Internat- German residential schools that offer Abitur and other specialist courses for most study programs. There are also Internat alternatives for sports, music, and other professions.
  • International Schools- Germany has a small number of international schools that teach a common curriculum around the world and grant students the International Baccalaureate, which is accepted by many universities around the world.>

Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB): In basic terms, a university entry qualification that demonstrates that your past academic credentials meet the German higher education system's required standard.

Students may be eligible for :

  • Direct General Admission depending on their high school graduation and its recognition.
  • Subject restricted admission.
  • General admission to a Preparatory course for students who do not meet the requirements for direct admission.
  • Classical Universities– Provide higher education in a variety of subjects and award Bachelor's and Master's degrees and diplomas.
  • Private universities provide a variety of degree and diploma programs in a variety of fields.
  • Vocational/technical school- Students receives training and specialization for various careers.
  • Universities of Applied Sciences- It have been noticed that German universities' research-based programs and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses are significantly more popular among international students.

Germany's educational system is constantly striving to acquire a complete and well-developed viewpoint toward innovative research and training methods, in order to provide students with an adequacy that exceeds global norms.

Languages

Germany's official currency is the Euro (€). In Germany, numerous public institutions offer their programs at a low cost. They usually charge a €50-€250 admin/registration fee per semester. This applies to both EU and non-EU students, depending on the university of choice. Institutions in Baden-Württemberg, on the other hand, can charge non-EU students a fee of €1,500 per semester. Private institutions have the freedom to determine their own tuition prices, which can range from €2,000 to €20,000 per year. Make sure you understand the fees and budget for your condition before choosing your college. International students should set aside €800-€900 per month as a budget. This should be enough to cover your rent, food, transportation, and entertainment expenses. Be aware that if you live in a big city like Hamburg or Munich, your living costs may be greater. Student discounts are provided in several German cities. Museums, art galleries, restaurants, and leisure activities all fall under this category.
